Child of God

Words of Wisdom from Marianne Williamson...

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear
is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our
darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be
brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you
not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not
serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so
that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all
meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the
glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's
in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated
from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Go forth and SHINE!

Adorned in black
a sad disguise
black polished nails
black circled eyes

body piercings all around
a post in tongue
one in the nose
ear studs neatly in a row

an entity in slavery
controlled by mediocrity
enveloped by a cloud
pretending to be proud

yet underneath the shroud
a tiny spark of hope
for around her fragile neck
she wears the sacred cross

she may deny its power
but God still hears her cry
she requires one who sees
the soul inside that needs.

Which One Am I Today

One soul was all it took
to condemn the world to death

One soul was all it took
to relieve the sting of death

One life is all it takes
to bring a child to tears

One life is all it takes
to soothe away their fears

One man becomes a shepherd
that leads the world astray

One man becomes a shepherd
who helps them find the way

Which one am I today?

Jesus Camp Trailer

Why is it that a couple of people cannot tolerate the spiritual instruction that does NOT brainwash children into murder, isolation, or any other cult like living?

While I would not send my child to such a camp because I believe it is my duty to guide and direct her spiritual development, I certainly celebrate the freedom of this group to do so.

This is week long camp once a year, hardly enough time to brainwash our children.

Meanwhile, television, the internet and radio, not to mention the public schools, are bombarding our children 24-7 every day of the year with every despicable and detrimental attribute known to mankind.

Who is doing a documentary on the empty lives of our children?

Who cares that they are not spiritual any more?

Spirituality is as ancient as time itself.

What do you think?

This is a trailer for the new documentary Jesus Camp

We are all one body

Every morning, allow the sunlight to enter your room to remind you that this day is blessed by the Creator. When the Creator opens your eyes with the light, jump to your feet, breathe in the fresh new day full of potential and promise, and stretch your arms high to the ceiling, thanking God for another chance to serve the world. Contemplate the choices you have for the day as you prepare yourself for your routine morning tasks. Can you do something out of the ordinary today? Can you be a blessing to someone today?

Live in Power!

About Jesus

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
Had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
Feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!

Some may not know him, but that does not diminish his existence, except in their own lives. We who believe in him are united by his spirit which lives within us and through us.

Celebrate what unites us!

Who enslaves You?

The Duck & the Devil

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved.

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his sister watching. Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said," Well that's alright because Johnny told me he wanted to help." She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's ... he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done.. and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.) ...whatever it is....You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing..... He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven.

He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He forgets ..... It is by God's grace and mercy; that we are saved.

Always remember:

God is at the window.

You are forgiven if you have asked for forgiveness.

Go forth and Live!

Enlightening quote by Nelson Mandela:

"Nothing in the Universe exists in and by itself... On a quantum mechanical level, every material object, and everything else in the Universe is interconnected, even our thoughts."

Once you fully grasp this fact, you will then have the ability to become whoever you want to be.

Follow your dreams!

Focus on the end result of your dreams, not the obstacles that keep you from achievement. Whatever you focus on comes back to you tenfold.

Worried about cancer? Bankruptcy? Divorce?

Why not focus on good health, prosperity, and harmony?

The New Testament of the Holy Bible tells us to "build up", which is the opposite of worrying. You can't build up a better life while you're obsessed with what "might" go wrong.

Ask and you shall receive.

The effects of prayer have been debated throughout time. Studies have been conducted without conclusive evidence one way or another.

But for those of us who know without a doubt from prior experience that prayer sometimes has definite positive results, we only need to learn how to help others achieve a more fervent prayer life that can provide the same results for them.

What if, after our life on earth has ended, and we pass on to the next life, we discover that every human being always had within them the power to send energy to others - through prayer, meditation, or whatever you would like to call it.

Wouldn't that be amazing? Wouldn't that also be sad?

Since all religions have their own claims of the power of prayer and miracles, I submit to you that it is quite possible, even probable, that we do, indeed, have that power.

I have witnessed miracles, and I have felt the presence of energy that is not something one can describe with mere words, but suffice it to say that I know without a doubt that the Creator is alive and well, and wants to enable us with His comfort and power.

Just as you would not sit down to play a piano without first studying the technique and practicing, you cannot expect to know all there is to know about prayer just because you have uttered one in the past.

Be careful not to condemn what you do not understand.

Dream of miracles!

Is Scientology a cult?

As a true seeker and one who believes that all external influences contribute our own ideas and actions (as Mark Twain said), I search to read articles and literature that has been written by authors who study their topic thoroughly, and do not write based on emotionally charged prejudices.

That's one of the reasons I have such respect for Mark Twain, who studied Joan of Arc twelve years before writing his book.

I have searched extensively on the web for information about Scientology, and what, exactly, they believe. I have finally found an article that explains their fictional beliefs, and exposes their folly, while not entirely ridiculing them, as their system seems to help some people to live better lives.

Be forewarned though, the author isn't much more lenient in his views of Catholicism.

None-the-less, this is an excellent brief article that can give you a good understanding of the mysterious Scientologists.

Read more here.

So What Are You Reading?

Mark Twain wrote about Joan of Arc!

Thanks to Orion, a book review blogger, for reviewing this book.

Here's an exerpt...

One might expect the irreverent Mark Twain, who wrote many scandalous
pieces to be somewhat satirical in presenting this biography, but that is not
the case. While his writing in this book is critical of church and state, his
approach to the personal character of Joan puts her above reproach. He could
find nothing in her life that was suspect, and he studied the records for 12
years. While he seems unsure about the nature of her voices, he shows Joan as
firmly believing that they were real and of divine origin.

It seems that Mark Twain had a daughter Joan's age when he wrote this, and that he considered it to be his finest work.

I encouraged both of my daughters to learn about Joan as teenagers. This past year, my youngest who is a freshman in high school, chose Joan of Arc as the one historical person she would like to interview.

So What Are You Reading?

Meaning of happiness

Are you happy? If not, do you know the reason why happiness eludes you?

Theory: If we think about the question, the answer will come.

Test it. Ask yourself if you are happy. But first, How do you define happiness?

Happiness will mean different things to different people, but the basic meaning transcends all definitions - it is simply a feeling of contentment - that you are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right things.

If your life is one of discontent, then you must ask yourself why?

Specifically, where should you be? What should you be doing?

What would it take to make you happy?

What steps can you take today to make happiness one step closer?

The following excerpt may help us understand why we go through discontentment and sorrow, and therefore help us to move through these times more smoothly, knowing that without them, we would never truly know what contentment can be...

Dare to be happy!
Dream Doe :)

"And remember my pain, and therein you shall see what prevented me from following my longings, and fulfilling my dreams.

Remember my bitterest words and my sweetest words, and therein you shall see where my understanding stumbled, and where my understanding found truth.

Most of all, remember the love I had for myself, for therein lies my true love for others.

Whether we realize it or not, Life is good to us, as long as we remain good to ourselves.

We must needs walk in darkness, to know our greater longing is to walk in the light of the sun.

We must needs have a dark self, to know our enlightened self.

We must needs have a less desirable self, to know and grow toward our greater and more desirable self, when made visible.

Truth must remain hidden from us by untruth, to know truth, when it unveils itself through understanding.

Beauty must remain a mystery unto us, so that we may know her secrets, when she unveils her holy garment.

And we have lost our love, only to know love, when we find it again."

Individual responsibility - external influences

In this day and age, it is only an individual's responsibility to learn about spiritual matters. The information is readily and freely available to all who seek it. The days of evangelists and touring revival tent preachers are gone. Even though some may think it is their purpose in life to continue along these fruitless ventures, there is no need.

The old testament verse "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" has never had more meaning than it does today.

Whatever you believe, it is YOUR responsibility.

YOU will be held accountable, no one else.

The point I am trying to make is this ...

As Mark Twain points out, man is not capable of changing his opinion by himself.

External influences are the impetus for new paradigms of the spirit, political views, material values, moral values, and everything else.

This has not changed. What HAS changed is our own individual ability to seek out new external influences that our ancestors did not have access to.

We can read countless opinions and views online.
We can hear differing views on TV and radio.

We can attend meetings, spiritual and otherwise, which can attack our old views and cause us to change, hopefully for the betterment of society as a whole.

A man's brain is so constructed that IT CAN ORIGINATE NOTHING WHATSOEVER. It can only use material obtained OUTSIDE.

It is merely a machine; and it works automatically, not by will-power.

{The wherefore for Religion.}

Mark Twain, What is a Man?

One man may find his peace of mind in too much strong drink, another in prayer, and yet another in clinging to the prejudices of his father.

So next time a loud mouthed critic attacks your beliefs, just remember that they are immature spiritually, and have formed their opinions by external forces such as parental teachings, religious teachings, traumatic childhoods, deep rooted feelings of inadequacy, or just simple discomfort in hearing something new that shakes the foundations of their life.

Dare to be tolerant of others.

Seeking the Creator

If you want to know the Creator, all you have to do is simply ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

Keep in mind that this is done on a spiritual level of course, so don't expect someone to come knocking at your door and introduce Himself as God.

Since this is a spiritual journey to enlightenment, in addition to asking for revelation, you must consciously focus on paying attention to subtle signs that will start to appear. If you are not paying attention to the universe, then you will not notice anything.

The Creator is not an intruder or party-crasher.

You must be a true seeker if you want the Creator to bother with revealing himself to you.

Seek and ye shall find!

Choose your beliefs carefully...

It is never enough to blindly accept or reject a philosophy based on the beliefs of your parents and grandparents.

Blindly accepting another's faith is not for true thinkers.

Blindly rejecting another's faith is simply an act of rebellion and is not for mature thinkers.

The journey you are on is a learning experience. You must investigate, explore, consider and process your own belief system with fear and trembling.

Some people will take this to mean that they can create their own religion or philosophy of life, and by all means, one can do that. BUT, that will not make it true, and that will not help a person grow into the spiritual being that they were intended to be.

Again, this would be a waste of life - a waste of the gift that was given freely and without obligation or hesitation to help each of us evolve into the beings we were created to be.

Dare to live with purpose!

Believing it doesn't make it true

Your belief does not make something true or false.

Truth is truth - it is factual, and it cannot be changed by an opinion, belief, or action.

There is an order to everything, and the order of existence is in place, and has been in place long before you were a sparkle in your parent's eyes. You may not be able to fathom or understand the eternal conditions of existence, you may not believe in eternity, yet it is true.

The purpose of our journey as understood by Dream Doe, is to acquire knowledge in the form of wisdom, and then to share it with others.

Wisdom can be defined as many things depending on how it relates to a particular subject and in what context the word is used, but for our purposes, the definition of wisdom is our enlightenment concerning creation, the Creator, our personal and individual relationship to the Creator, and our life's purpose - which is up to each person to determine. It's all up to you.

You can choose to know OF the Creator, or you can choose to IGNORE the Creator, but your choice CANNOT diminish the Creator or His relevance in the grand scheme of things.

Knowing that a belief doesn't change facts, why not choose to open yourself spiritually to receive all that you were intended to have?

The gifts of guidance, comfort, joy, peace of mind - which is what all humans seek, and many other spiritual gifts that can enhance your time on earth - which will in turn enhance the lives and journeys of those lives you touch. There is truly a wonderful spiritual support group that is always around you, even if you don't believe it.

Seeking truth and wisdom is a journey that everyone shall embark on at some point in eternity.

Why not take the first steps now and get to know your Creator?

There is nothing to fear, and nothing to lose, but everything to gain.

The Dream Doe philosophy believes that you already chose to begin your journey when you chose to be born as a human. You may not be on the right road, the road that you were designed to take, but you are never-the-less on the journey.

You can continue to stand in the fork of the road until your human life ends, without ever becoming enlightened, without ever knowing the love and purposeful life that was always within your grasp, and therefore you could pass over without helping other souls that you may have been put here to help.

What a waste of human life.

Dare to dream the impossible!
Dream Doe :)

Did you choose to be born?

Dream Doe Theory...

All human souls or spirits were created before they existed on earth.

You had a choice of whether or not you would take the next step of your journey to be born as a human being, or whether you would stay where you were, but you did not have a choice as to whether or not you would exist.

You still do not have that choice.

You can choose to end the manifestation of your existence on earth, but you - your essence, spirit, soul, or whatever you want to call yourself, you would still exist. As to whether or not that existence would be to your liking, is not something that is determinable while we are in this earthly phase of our journey. Your journey, path, or life (you choose the label), will continue no matter where you are, and no matter what you believe.

You will exist forever.

If you choose to deny your Creator, then your existence may well be one of pain, sorrow, confusion, and incompleteness. You may live your life without love, joy, comfort and all the blessings that are freely bestowed on each of us by the Creator. But you will exist. There is nothing you can do about that.

Dreams of love and joy,
Dream Doe :)
